let me see what has been happening recently.....hmm.... well we had a worship workshop on the 4th of June and then had the most wonderful family camp on 9-12th of June.

instead of having youth on the 4th,  the worship team decided to replace that time where all the ppl involved in youth ministry and those interested come for a worhsip session.. (basically half of the youth were there)... on that day, we basically had a longer session of praise and worship- pris worship lead.. as always it was good... she started of by singing worship songs.. and tat session ended with a bang(a worship song)..it was really great and refreshing

then we had Ps Jerry speak on worhsip... the topics that i can remember {now tat it was a few weeks ago} were about the heart of worhsip where its not only about the songs but its the heart and esp the lifestyle that really matters...he also touched on related topics.. but i really cant rememeber of hand what were they..he  quoted a few sentences from a book too....

Ps ended with an alter call... that time the spirit was so strong.. that was the 1st time in many years i saw the spirit sweep tru our youth..He was js ministering to many of us.. some wept, some slain, some js stood in awe of His wonders...we ended with a song...Pris chose the songs real well... cz the songs suit the purpose of our meeting tat day...indeed she was sensitive to God's voice when preparing for worship....

by the way, there are a number of new comers admist us... they are Desiree, D'Shon, Debbie(siblings), Jian- Chorng, Jern- Yi and her god-bro, Andrew Lee...yup we have another andrew.. haha, i once played a trick on them...so happend andrew ching and lee were talking together then i purposely called "Andrew" and see how they would react..ching was a lil slow to react but lee was fast...when they saw me laughin they knew i was foolin with them... it was a great laugh though....yea, so tat is about it for the new comers... pray that God would multiply our youth even more...

Now the church camp....we had it in Golden Sands

everyday the spirit grew stronger.......Golden Sands changed a little.. they repainted the walls.. repositioned the beds...BUT what didnt change is the FLIES!!! THEY ARE STILL ANNOYING...flies were everywhere....esp in the cafeteria

we had lots of fun time too,... on the 2nd day, we played games,.. all the church members participated... daniel and team were a good game coordinators cz they were able to think of interesting games.. it seems they only had a few hours of sleep on the 1st nite cz they stayed up to brainstorm for the games...we also had to come up with a team cheer.. and the ideas some of the teams came up with were really creative..one was called "siong siong ia" as in everytime win....one team acted as chickens cz the team name was roasted chicken wings.. in cantonese its called "siew kai yik".. it was so funny... the most fun we had was on fun nite.. 3rd day...each team had to come up with a spontaneous skit according to the props and tag lines tat were given to them....only these time, we manage to see the true colors of some church members.. like cheryl acted as mummy gorilla...and i tell you, she really can act....we laughed our hearts out...and I(alicia) am now officially called Ultraman with the tag line tat goes like this " i'm a brass UFO and i keep time.." its the joke of the year for the youth.. if you realy want to knw have to ask me or even best ask Philip.. he still teases me tat....everytime in fact... ish ish ish.....

and finally the camp ended with a bang... the last day of camp, we had some time of ministering... so many families came up to be prayed for...... for me, i cud really feel that the spirit was so so very strong tat day.... one reason i say so is cz when i went to pray for others, suddenly my hands were shaking.. i wasnt cold nor scared... but my hands were shaking so much like when i am nervous....in fact, andrea was also experiencing the same thing...i kept crying and crying cz i was happy tat many ppl were ministered...they were allowing God to do smth in them...

bout the youth, most of them didnt have much sleep.. as usual...some only had a few hours of sleep each day which caused many of them to fall sick right after the camp...Charles had a throat infection and he totally lost his voice.. he went back the 2nd day...camp was a lil quiet after he left....i heard too that on the 3rd day of camp, which was the last nite, at least 8 of the youth didnt sleep at all.. they stayed tru the nite or rather morning, playing taboo then they walked to the beach to watch the sunrise(but i think they were to sleepy tat their common sense was not working so well at tat time.. they were facing the wrong side when the sun rise...) i really wondered how some of them survived the nx morning....

overall, it was the best family camp i ever attended...many agree to tat too....i wud really want to thank God that He swept mightily in our church...AMEN!!!

ok... this is gonna be a 2 in 1 blog entry...forgot to tell u ppl  what happend in easter earlier.....well i'll like to give a big applause and congratuale Michelle cz she js got baptized together with a number of other church members.. i didnt recognize them though,... there were some frm the chinese ministry...so, tat was the big highlite on tat day...for the children;s ministry on the other hand, we acted the same skit we did for last easter; "Sarah;s gift"... js tat this time the roles were played by other ppl...some of the main characters remained..this persentation was on children;s praise party(the week after easter)

ok now the 2nd part...we js came back frm worhsip camp.. it was held in cyberjaya...nearby.. ...Ps Guy Rozario was out speaker.. he is a really anoited and talented pastor(veyr very and i mean very fun person to be with...he js has this connection with the youth..knws what to say at the rite time)...on fri, we had a great time of worship.. lead by pris...the presence of God was so strong...for me, i wept like crazy...i cudnt hold back me tears...god was also moving in many ppl;s heart tat nite too...basically, most of our sessions were spent worhsiping Jesus...esp on our last nite.. last nite(sat), sam woship lead and we js continued worshipping for hours...singing a new song to the Lord, proclaiming His glory and crying out to him...it was js so great...so pity full for Pris cz she was pretty much tired.. standing for so long...she was putting most of  her weight on one leg(the other was on the pedal)... she stand for hours.. but the spirit was so strong tat time passed by so quickly,,....

for me, altough i didnt have much sleep, i was not sleepy... maybe bcz i was really exited to here more of God;s word...and i think it was the same for many others too...thats the great thing about the holy spirit....

also we had lots of fun fellowhipping...as usual on fri nite, most of them were up until 4.00am..it was like no one knew the meaning of "sleep".. i bet most of them are asleep by now...knocked out like crazy.,....we played 'Taboo' and 'Uno' and some used  UNO to play heart attack....i really thank eugene for taking the effort to prepare the games.. sadly, we didnt play the games..so instead of wasting time, some went to the pool to swim...they had the pool to themselves...

while they were at the pool, Raymond, S.Yin, Jennifer were the cooks yest.. they cooked dinner for us...s.quin and I helped out where ever we cud...we had spaggethi, campbell soup, mash potatotes(home made...), salad, fruits, chips, etc... it was goooooood........nyam nyam...all i can say is a BIG TQ for S.Yin cz she helped organized all this (food and the campp)amd all those who have helped out on one way or another.....

well well well.. time passes real fast.. so far we have succesfully started the bible study...each of the 5 leaders have the different styles of teaching but are all teaching the same thing.. hahaa dun worry... we wont teach the 'terpesong' teaching..so we are done with the first few books in the old testament.. stopped at Deut.... then we(the 5 of us leaders) tot that all of us need a break frm bible study..phew it is tiring esp for us who have to prepare in advance..so this sat we are gonna have a longer time of worship, some good refreshments and of course games....js sometime to fellowship and have loads of fun...then the following week we are studying Mark(cz some of the groups studied Matt) and then we are gonna use the purpose driven life book for bible study..the reason is tat the 5 of us are not totally equipt in teaching the bible...and we are left alone to analyze the passage.. so we tot (and also Ps Jerry) tat reading this book would be more effective.. at least we, the leaders have some guideline to lead the bible study..oso it is a very effective devotion material.. the adults are using it too.

UPDATES.....updates...hmm, well we were suppose to have bible study for a long time ady... few weeks due ady..2weeks ago, the koreans were here.. lemme tell u more about it...there were like 5-6 of them tat join our youth...(a brief background- there were here for the student exchange programme together with around 6 more ppl but those 6 didnt come because they attended their lecturer's wedding....)..so for tat week, to accomodate the koreans we didnt have bible study but instead we played games...oso Eugene and I(alicia) gave a short testimony on how God has touched our lives..was pretty hard cz we had to simplify our English as simple as possible...oh yea, there are some who wore coats to church while some who wore really simple....like Toby who wore some hawaiian shirt...it seems aunty rani sed that there were some who wore shorts oso.......hahaa....i think i wont go into detail...i'll bore u........ i think u'll fall asleep b4 u can even finish this para...

anyway, last week, we oso didnt have bible study cz we were practicing a song which was presented to Ps Jerry on Sunday...this was to welcome him back... by the way, there was a luncheon after service...the song we sang was exactly the same one we sung for Chris at his farewell party as his hse...

heya ppl...we js had our very 1st youth meeting yest, 8/1/05. It was great..the 5 of us (core commitee members) and Uncle Ching Kiat tot since its the 1st meeting of the year, so we thought have some fun and fellowship.

Kelvin Hang worship lead and it was so good.. the spirit was there...so strong..was talking to him today b4 service and he said that he was glad everything went smooth and that he really prayed and meditate and thought over about the songs that he was gonna sing for almost one week...actually, i do agree to cz a worship leader indeed has to prepare him/herself way ahead. the most important thing is pray, pray and pray..through prayer then we learn how to be sensitive to God's voice.. also consistenly keep a good walk with Him and make sure you come "clean/clear" before God b4 u even worship..cz if u dun, its pretty hard for you to lead the others into worship cz its like preventing the spirit to flow.REMEMBER tat a worship leader is there to LEAD ppl into worship and not up on the stage to sing songs..i wouldn't say i'm a good worship leader but tot of giving some tips to those youfers who have not worship lead yet..i'm saying this frm experience...dun be afraid to worship lead.if u have a chance, grab hold of it..Remember theres not perfect worship..as long as u keep looking to god for guidance, prepare ahead and pray, you'll do fine...

ok back to yest, as usual after worship, testimonies then a game..then it was dinner...we had domino's(6 pizzas-all habis makan), macoroni, fried rice,  fruits, cake, etc..... 

oh yea,  youfers...it seems that the kitchen was not clean after our session..this is not been the 1st time...many other times when we had makan sessions, the rubbish bin was not emptied, floor had footprints, etc..so i'll just like to remind you to be responsible..do your part..i know sometimes u may think, "ahyoh,  got hospitality dept to do what...anyway, earlier i was not in the kitchen" or " i wanted to help but so many ppl in the kitchen" or  we assume someone else(last person to go back) would do it..well, can we change that mind set?? isit ok??like maybe if u are  the last few to go back, just pop into the kitchen to check whether everything is in order or hang up the towels after rinsing it...and also try to keep the church/kitchen as clean as possible even when washing dishes..cz if no mess is done, no mess needed to be cleane?? you all get it rite?? simple as tat?? so, please be RESPONSIBLE nx time ya??..every1 play their part..;p...Jesus then would be proud...ish ish....i sound like a mother pulak.....  

today's service was good too.philip worship lead..another great time of worship..phew..strong feeling of spirit again..then, Aunty Karen and her husband got baptized today...i've got the pics posted up... check out the same website...  in case some of u who dun knw....its www.kbcyouf.multiply.com.. any recent pics would be posted there...
